Change Behavior

Making a meaningful life is a crucial element for our project’s success. By this, we can influence the change. And like Joseph Grenny at his TED Talk described his theory, we should reference the idea of changing one's behavior by changing their personal preferences and social background. He told it on the example of Jane and how he showed Jane that she was always a woman with lots of potentials. Life can be complicated, and people can not be prepared for significant changes. But if we change our society and learn new skills, we can make it through to a progress. The Three Myths of Behavior Change was a fascinating idea. Dr. Cross presents these three myths at her TED Talk lecture, and they can be adapted to my blended learning model project. Myth1 Education will change behavior How will you present information that will make a difference in the result? How you present, your information is significant because it will increase your success for 60. That’s why I will pay attention to the promotion material of my blended learning project. Promoting content should be flexible and adaptable for various audiences. The message should be appealing to the audience and resonate with them. Knowing your audience is a crucial factor in making progress in a change. This shouldn’t be a difficult task since all of the key figures involved in making the decision process are from the same educational field. Myth 2 You need to change attitudes to change behavior attitudes follow behavior People have an avid interest in understanding the causes of behavior, both theirs and others, and doing so helps us meet the essential goals of other-concern and self-concern. If we can better understand how and why the other people around us act the way they do, we will have a better chance of avoiding harm from others and getting those other people to cooperate with and like us. And if we have a better idea of understanding the causes of our own behavior, we can better work to keep that behavior in line with our preferred plans and goals. Set behavior expectations, and it will work in most of the significant issues and not only switching lights off after leaving the room. Finding stuff for what people care about will simplify the change process. Myth 3 People know what motivates them to take action Social norms motivate as quickly. It would help if you were an example for overs. That’s why it is crucial to make our innovative project successful ( in my case, the blended learning model). To demonstrate to the school district officials how this model can increase students’ performance and engagement. And since social norms is an essential element of keeping the change run, I should find an excellent example with implementing blended learning at overs schools. It is better if these examples are from the same state to make it easier to make parallels with legal issues. Reference Cross, J. (2013, March 20).
