It has been a long time in education since significant changes were made. I am glad that Dr. H. puts in his COVA eBOOK the most crucial science achievements in the education field to help educators build a significant learning environment (CSLE). Through authentic learning (COVA), you give your learners choice, ownership, and voice through authentic learning (COVA). We still use the old-school Thotndikan model at our schools because it is easy for the education Department to control the process, and it is well a proven model for many years. But time is changing, and with increasing digital learning content, our educators should focus on new learning models. Modern students work better if we give them real-world problems and take ownership of their learning. Students should be prepared to be adaptive, flexible, and innovative. The new model should emphasize focusing on the individual learner within a social setting. We should make connections between school material and real-life situations to simplify the learning process for our students. Teachers shouldn’t just transfer school material and prepare them for tests; they need to be mentors for their students to help guide them to go much deeper in their own learning. Dr. H. presented seven practical and easy-to-follow steps to achieve the CSLE+COVA model. I will use it as part of my pilot project to implement a blended learning model in my elementary SPED class.
